5. Lady’s Seat, Gent’s Seat and Children’s Seat

Proceeding further with our one day Yercaud tour we ascend to the striking viewpoint called Lady’s Seat. Local legends state that a white English lady used to visit the place to enjoy the panoramic vistas.

On the right side of Lady’s Seat we have other viewpoints called the Gent’s Seat and Children’s Seat. Children’s Seat houses a children’s park overlooking the beautiful valley below.

Set adjacent to each other they represent a group of rocks lying on the South West of the Yercaud hills. These naturally formed rock formations take a shape of a seat facing the Salem town and the ghat road.

Visitors can peep through the telescopes maintained in the viewing tower to catch the glimpse of the Mettur Dam and the Salem town.

6. Silk Farm \ Rose Garden

7. Killiyur Falls

The next stop of the gratifying one day Yercaud trip is the majestic Killiyur waterfalls located at 3km from Yercaud Lake. Formed by the surplus water from Yercaud Lake and the other reaches of Shevaroys Hills, they are a natural wonder to behold.

Travellers would be mesmerized with the magnificence of the 300 feet waterfalls that drops into the Killiyur Valley. Views from the top and bottom of the falls leave an enchanting impression on the tourists.

For an easier ascend to the falls a concrete path with around 250 steps was developed in 2011 that proves to be a comfortable trek to the waterfalls for the tourists.

8. Servarayan Temple

Our one day fun filled Yercaud tour takes you next to a spiritual place nestled amidst misty hills. The Servarayan Temple located on Servarayan hill enshrines God Servarayan and Goddess Kaveri in a narrow cave. Perched at a height of 5326 feet, it is the highest point in Yercaud.

Visitors can enjoy the stunning views of the Yercaud and Nagalur from the hill. It is believed that the narrow cave extends till the Kaveri River. Legends state that Goddess Kaveri is the guardian of 67 villages located in and around Yercaud.
